I don’t know what’s better, the friendly staff or delicious coffee, but they’re both first rate!! And if you’ve not tried the shaved prime rib sandwich, you’re missing out on the best sandwich in Moore County!!

Great café in Pinehurst! The quality of the beverages and food is amazing! Highly recommend their bagels. The atmosphere is great for study, work, or simply catching up with friends. Love this place!

As a decades-long fan of the previous establishment in this location, I was impressed with the new BRIM. The sausage and egg breakfast sandwich was perhaps the best I've had in many years, with the sausage arrived at the table sizzling, the brioche bread immaculate, the egg soft and perfectly cooked, with the pimento cheese a perfect complement to that combo. I do have a couple suggestions for the owners -- this is a small location rooted in local tradition and history. I like the new renovation, it fits very well. However, I do recommend educating the staff about the black? squirrel familiar, which is ostensibly called 'Brimley'? It would be nice to know more about how/why the name was chosen. Perhaps a plaque? Lastly, the pigasus. IIRC this orginated as the personal stamp of John Steinbeck with the Latin motto "Ad astra per alia porci" (to the stars on the wings of a pig). The pigasus was meant symbolize Steinbeck as earthbound but aspiring, a lumbering soul but trying to fly with not enough wingspread but plenty of intention. Perhaps some indication of this history might reflect the literary nature of the establishment? I only recognized it due to reading and collecting Steinbeck's novels. I think the broader audience would appreciate it.

Bright, lively environment, inside a wonderful used bookstore. Friendly staff, quick to serve, and most helpful. Coffee is fresh, hot, and delicious. Top shelf. Jalapeno bagel was excellent, I ate it before I thought to photograph. I was a hero my last visit, for bringing my wife home a couple of muffins. This time, she went ahead and sent her order with me, lol. Wonderful baked goods and coffee. I wish this was in my town!

A small group of friends and I meet at BRIM in the early afternoon about once each month. We like to invite at least one person each time who is new to BRIM. Why? It's fun to see the new person's reaction to the wonderful food. On each visit we enjoy the delicious items. On our most recent trip we loved the food, but the service was non-existent.
